Alright… here we go. In this lesson we’ll discuss the VERY basics.
- How to hold your guitar
- How to hold the pick
- How to play open strings
- How to play fretted notes
- How to read TAB
- You’ll have a simple piece of music to start practicing on.
This video is about 16 minutes long and breaks up into basically 3 parts…
Part I – This covers how to hold the guitar, how to hold the pick, and basic technique.
Part II – Here we talk about terminology so that you’ll know which string is the top, which one is the bottom, how the frets are numbered, and other essentials for later on.
Part III – Here we get into TAB reading. It’s so easy if you take it step-by-step. This is by far the simplest and easiest way to notate songs.
